Leo Sammarelli, a Canadian boxing champion takes on the Grouse Grind trail in Vancouver, Canada, a steep 2.9km incline up rough terrain known as “Mother Nature’s Stairmaster”. As a victim of gun violence in 2017, Leo suffered a devastating spinal cord injury which left him paralyzed from the waist down. His Olympic dreams dashed, Leo had to relearn what it means to be a true adaptive athlete. After months of training, and with the help of a supportive team and community, Leo sets out on the challenge of a lifetime, to become the first person to complete the uncompromising climb in a wheelbarrow position on his hands. What will it take to him to succeed and overcome the mental and physical barriers in his way?
